Stepping out for a prestigious honor, Shailene Woodley took to the red carpet before the Virtuosos Award Tribute at the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara, California on Friday (February 3).
The “Descendants” actress joined alongside Producer Jim Burke while readying to receive her trophy at the Santa Barbara worldly Film Festival held event.
As for the Virtuosos accolade, it’s “an award given to multiple up-and-coming actors for achieving a breakthrough performance.”
With Rooney Mara, Melissa McCarthy, Patton Oswalt, Andy Serkis and Demián Bichir among the other honorees, SBIFF director Roger Durling said of the 2012 crop, “I’m ecstatic about that strong line-up of Virtuosos. They all gave us indelible performances.”

Gaining quite the passion for the halfpipe, Justin Bieber was back out for another skateboarding session in Miami, FL on Friday night (February 3).
Decked out in red gear, the 17-year-old “Never Say Never” star showed off his fancy moves for a gathered crowd of onlookers during a break from studio work on his new album Believe.
Tweeting about his Sunshine State doings, Bieber wrote earlier in the week, ““In the studio working on #BELIEVE - I GOT SO MUCH LOVE FOR THE FANS…you are always there for me and I will always be there for you. MUCH LOVE. thanks”

Despite initial reports that Lily Collins would take the part, Jane Levy is said to be in talks for the lead role in the upcoming “Evil Dead” remake.
According to Deadline, the “Suburgatory” star will act as a replacement to “Mirror, Mirror” actress Collins, who was forced to drop out of the Fede Alvarez-directed film due to scheduling conflicts.
The report adds that Jane will play the part of Mia, originally fronted by Bruce Campbell, who is described as “one of five young society who head to the remote cabin where evil awaits.”
As for the film itself, production is scheduled to get underway in New Zealand sometime in the near future, with hopes for an April 12, 2013 theatrical debut.

It’s been nearly two weeks since she was rushed to the hospital after going into convulsions, however Demi Moore’s whereabouts following her emergency visit to a Los Angeles, CA medical facility are still unknown.
While speculation by the location of her recovery has had the Web abuzz, friends of the 49-year-old are staying mum. telling folks, “Demi is such a private person and where she is now is being kept top secret,” while another pal added that only a “very close” circle of the star’s friends know where she’s currently residing.
Several reports claim Moore is undergoing “spiritual counseling,” while others propose that she’s being treated at the Cirque Lodge in Sundance, Utah.
Despite the rumors, the only confirmation Demi’s camp has given since her medical emergency is that she was seeking “professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health.”

Tending to afternoon daddy duties, Gabriel Aubry was spotted picking up daughter Nahla from her Los Angeles, CA school on Friday (February 3).
Looking quite tuckered out after a enlarged day of learning, the adorable 3-year-old could be seen resting her head on her father’s shoulder as the two quickly made their way to an awaiting car.
And according to a TMZ report, the latest sighting of the daddy/daughter duo comes after a ruling in the custody battle within Gabriel and ex Halle Berry.
While all the details of the decision have yet to be revealed, the website tells that Aubry will not lose custody of Nahla while he’s being investigated on accusations of child endangerment.

Receiving yet another accolade thanks to her performance in “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” Rooney Mara looked glamorous in green as she arrived on the red carpet at the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara, California on Friday night (February 3).
The 26-year-old actress was on-hand to be presented as one of that year’s recipients of the Santa Barbara universal Film Festival’s Virtuosos Award - with the tribute having been created to “recognize a choose group of actors who have distinguished themselves through performances in film.”
With other 2012 Virtuosos Award honorees including Shailene Woodley, Patton Oswalt, Andy Serkis, Demián Bichir and Melissa McCarthy, Festival Director Roger Durling said of the selections, “I’m ecstatic about that strong line-up of Virtuosos. They all gave us indelible performances.”
The SBIFF evening comes as Miss Mara was recently interviewed by Vanity Fair for their March 2012 Hollywood Issue (watch below) - in which she spoke about how her taste in film isn’t usually satisfied by the mainstream entertainment industry.
“Most of the actors I admire the most don’t get that much press, but on purpose. I think usually all through the year, some of the best performances are sort of the ones that are under the radar,” Rooney opined. “I usually think the most interesting work is the work that is not viewed by the masses.”

Proving he’s got what it takes to bring in the cash outside of “Harry Potter,” Daniel Radcliffe’s new movie “The Woman In Black” spooked its way atop the box office to start the weekend of February 3-5, 2012.
The thriller/horror flick about a young lawyer and a vengeful ghost in a remote village has edged out the competition by garnering an estimated $8.1 million on opening day while projected to take $19.8 during its first weekend of release.
Making for a tightly contested battle, another newcomer nabbed itself the runner-up position, as the Josh Trank directed drama/sci-fi motion picture “Chronicle” took home $8.0 million on Friday with a predicted debut weekend take of $19.7 million.
Rounding out the top five at the box office in estimated weekend totals are last week’s winner “The Grey” ($9.4 million) and the Drew Barrymore/John Krasinski starring whale tale “Big Miracle” ($8 million) in third and fourth while fifth place is a stalemate amidst Kate Beckinsale’s “Underworld: Awakening” and Katherine Heigl’s “One For the Money” ($4.9 million).
