Among the millions gathering in front of their televisions to watch the NFL Championship matchup, Charlize Theron was certainly in party mode as she attended a friend’s Super Bowl bash on Sunday evening (February 5).

The “Young Adult” actress and a gal pal both lugged big boxes full of booze in their arms in preparation of the matchup amidst the New England Patriots and the New York Giants.

On the career front, Theron will next be seen in “Prometheus” and as for working with director Ridley Scott, she told press, “Working with Ridley was amazing. Of Ridley’s generation I think there are abut three that are masters of filmmaking and Ridley is one of them.

“I think every actor has a director that they dream to work with and for me it was Ridley. Out of all of those guys of his generation I’ve always walked around saying ‘God, I would give anything to work with Ridley Scott,’ and he was everything that I hoped and dreamed for. Enjoying an afternoon of celebration, Michelle Williams was spotted at the 84th Annual Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel that afternoon (February 6).

Joined by fellow Oscar hopefuls such as Viola Davis, Rooney Mara and Brad Pitt, among others, the “My Week as Marilyn” actress looked stunning as she posed for the events photogs in a pastel hued floral print frock.

Miss Williams, who is up for the Best Actress Oscar at that year’s ceremony, says she couldn’t be more pleased about the nod, telling press, “I am so grateful to be acknowledged by the Academy for my work, which was made possible by the support of our director Simon Curtis and the camaraderie of a terrific ensemble of actors.”

“This role has been the challenge and privilege of a lifetime. I would like to think that the recognition our film has received by the Academy is a testomony to Marilyn’s legacy,” Michelle added.

The appearance comes after Pitt made a TV appearance on CBS that daylight earlier in the day, during which he told co-host Charlie Rose of his actress partner Angelina Jolie, “She’s still a poor girl. Delightfully so. It’s not for public consumption.”

The 48-year-old plus spoke about he and Ang’s brood of children being used to the abundant amount of traveling, as he explained, “They’re quite used to a bit of jetlag and moving to a new location, as faraway as we’re together. So the home’s always intact. They’ve got to pack their own bags, and they’re responsible whether they leave their chargers behind, and so on and so forth.”
